Event : Commonwealth games Manchester
Game : England vs Canada womens hockey semi-final
Date : Sunday 29th July 2002

Ok, this was my first ever streak, i had been in Manchester city centre during the games when approached by a local radio station who were randomly picking people to give them free tickets
to the games and i was one of them.

Later that day i was at my uncle Simons and i told him about the tickets, he said i wonder if there will be any streakers ?
I said "" I would do that "" and he said "" I dare you ""
Well that was it i had to do it, we were always daring each other.

A few days later me and my sister who was then 13 years old, we went to the hockey match
we went in and sat in our seats, the first half was over and i had been sussing the venue all this time and thought i can't get on there easy ( can i ? )

Well after half time the teams swapped sides and the England reporters/photographers swapped sides, i could now see that where the England press had been there was no Canada press to fill the space and i noticed a little Gap behind where they were sitting.

So now ther'e 15 minutes left into the game i do it now or miss my chance ?
I give my phone and wallet to my sister and said i needed the toilet ( Lie )

So off i went down the stairs and through a tunnel, i am now near the gap and just facing are some portaloos ( nice )

I went into one of the portaloos and stripped completely naked lol
I had a union jack mask with me so took one of my shoelaces out and tied the mask just over my privates, i looked out and could see security busy chatting to the medical staff right near the gap but not looking at the gap.

Well i popped my head out and seen two lads passing and said do you think the security can catch me ? they looked at me funny and WHOOOOSH !!!! i was off.

I ran over to the gap and jumped over a little fence, there i was running across a soaking wet all weather pitch completely naked, the crowd looked at me with beaming smiles on there faces and all the players of both teams just stopped and stared in awe.

As i ran across i heard somebody playing a trumpet to the tune of Engaland-Engaland-Engaland tra la !!!

I decided to do a roly poly which hurt, when i got up my mask covering my privates a bit had fell off lol

I looked around but couldn't see my sister ? everything was blurry, Anyway England was winning 5-1 with 5 minutes to go, no Canada thought f**k this and knocked one in ending with a score of 6-1 to England, the papers reported that it was my fault Canada scored at all lol

Outcome :

Security calmly took hold of me and led my into a tunnel where the police took over, i was put in a potacabin with a security guards coat around me lol till c-i-d come and took me away

While in an unmarked police car on my way to Longsight nick the two coppers were laughing and saying "" classic stuff mate ""

When i arrived at the back of the police station i got out of the car and the chief was there to greet me, i said "" shall i run round your yard naked ? ""
he said jokingly "" no you muppet get in ""

So i got to the custody desk and a lot of coppers come round me saying alright mate and there was three female coppers all stood together getting a look.

I remember a copper walked in to the custody suite and a copper next to me shouted to him "" hey we have somebody famous ""

Anyway i had to apoligise in an interview for what i did in return for a caution.

Afterwards :

For about a week i had some people like beeping there horn and shouting to me
I was on BBC sports and a local paper called the Salford Advertiser come to my mams house and took photos of me

To my shock i walked into a petrol station to get the paper thinking have they put it in ? answer no, they didn't put it in the paper just right across the front page lol this paper is free and also delivered to every house in Salford so everyone i ever knew woke up to me on there doormat.

I also got half a page in the sun under the title winning streaks along with my photo.
